Mar-e and I were wondering if you only fish paylakes or is there places to go and fish for free if you will? I see you name the big fish. Here we don't do that but often the same fish are caught again and again. The fish Mar-e is holding is one both of us has caught.  We fish mostly rivers here. Most have impoundments on them that hold big fish. But the biggest here range from 40-50 lbs. We never have to pay to fish and the big rivers like the Merrimac River can be fished successfully from the ocean back to the little rivers.

Hope to see what the (average) carp fisherman or women does to satisfy the spare fishing time.
