Hi guys. Does any body know what the official WORLD rod caught record size carp is and has any one heard of rumors of even bigger carp uncaught say in nets or turned up dead? They have to be ciprinus carpio species as we all know of foreign grass carp and other species.

I think the current world record comes from Graviers (Luke Moffats Lake) near Dijon, however have heard of bigger fish being caught in nets in Eastern Europe. Hungary has produced numbers of carp over 70 lb, Lake Bor is one lake capable of producing a world record. There are some inland seas in Eastern Europe that could quite possibly hold very big carp.
